 | RAEX Compact Plants
Wastewater treatment plant 15 to 80 dwellings
These are called compact RAEX because in its process an extended aerator reactor is utilized, incorporated into a single module of horizontal cylindrical geometry along with other stages of the process. In this manner the following configurations are obtained |
| Model | Configuration | Description | Applications | | RAEX | S | A single cylindrical horizontal module incorporates aerating and secondary sedimentation stages | Economic model, recommended for sanitary effluents of homogeneous organic load without great grease or sand content. Purging of sludge should be done from the secondary sedimentator. For example, condominiums. | | RAEX | PR | Same as S but with a stage for pre-treatment incorporated into the same tank. | Stage for protecting the biological reactor from domestic effluents that may may have higher content of solids and grease, or higher sedimentary matter or of a more aggressive nature. For example, schools, work stations for construction sites, boarding schools, etc. The sludge purge is made from the secondary sedimentator for digested sludges and from the pretreatment chamberfor the primary sludges.
| | RAEX | E | This complements the S configuration with a thickener stage and digestion of secondary sludge in the same tank. In this case the PR stage should be placed in a separate unit. | A stage destined to provide more autonomy and allow sludge purges to an in situ drying field and if that were not feasible, to reduce trips for sludge removal. |
The maximum size per treatment unit is established in function of transportation norms, in this case it is assumed that the tank has a 3m diameter and a length of 16m, suitable for a low flatbed truck. (The maximum width, accepted without requiring a special permission, is 2.5m, but obtaining permission is not a problem, as different from the case of larger heights).
All our plants comply with the NORM FOR EMMISSION TO REGULATE CONTAMINANTS ASSOCIATED WITH DISCHARGE OF LIQUID RESIDUES ONTO MARINE AND CONTINENTAL SURFACE WATERS established in Decree 90 of the Ministry of the Secretary General of the Presidency of the Republic, which in its critical parameters establishes the following maximum limits:
| DBO5 | 35mg/L | | SS | 80mg/L | | Fecal Coliforms | 1000NMP/100ml |
ADVANTAGES -Fabricated using the latest technologies for Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics, of proven resistance to corrosion, of low weight as compared to steel and concrete, which makes them easier to ship and handle during installation. -Once their usefulness is ended (for instance, when the construction ends and regular sewer systems are installed) these plants can be taken away and used elsewhere. -Fabrication, installation and implementation is faster than regular civil works systems. -Processing quality assured through proven extended aerating technology. -Model Capacity Dimensions in cm. Operational cost.
