The filter bed is made up of layers of technically defined sand, of different mesh sizes and specific weights.
Carbon filter
The activated carbon filter abates color, smell, flavor, organic materials and chlorine from the water; it has the proper valves and mechanisms for performing the functions of wash, backflow, and servicing, which can be manual or automatic.
Ionic Exchange Filter Ionic exchange filters are used to obtain pure water (demineralized) with conductivity lower than 2 mS/cm for process waters.The columns for ionic exchange (cationic, anionic, mixed bed) can be used combined with inverse osmosis or filtering systems, according to the user’s requirements.
Softeners Softener filters abate hardness due to carbonates of Calcium and Magnesium; they are used mainly for the treatment of process waters, in particular for heat transfer equipment, avoiding the formation of deposits within the equipment, which raises the operation cost associated to a higher fuel consumption.
