DOPPLER METERS Introduction A magnetic sensor is utilized to measure variation of level (or flow in Parshall Flume) for control of industrial wastewater and also viscous or corrosive liquids. Control switches can be programmed and used for level alarms or controlling pumps. The sensor is sealed to prevent damage during accidental submersion. How it works This sensor is mounted on the top of a tank or Parshall Flume to supervise the level in a continuous mode. It is quick and easy to operate thanks to its simple method of calibration. It can also work with different measuring units, gallons, litres, centimetres, percentages. It may be installed in round horizontal or vertical tanks. It has the particular feature that it seeks the best signal and adjusts itself, avoiding and filtering false echoes, thus delivering a correct and exact level measure.
Technical specifications Direct connection to a PLC or computers and is nominal for R=1000 Ohms. Compensations can be programmed between 4 and 20 mA for use in special controls. A digital display shows the flow index while a 16 digit display shows the total flow. The sensor is mounted on the upper part, so that dirt does not affect it and maintenance is not required. It has a built-in temperature sensor for itself, so it maintains exactitude (+0.25% of the full scale) to adjust to ambient conditions. The software of your PC can determine the formula for adapting to whatever is being measured.
