VERTICAL STORAGE TANKS

Vertical Cylindrical

VERTICAL CYLINDRICAL TANKS MADE OF FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC

Stationary Cylindrical Vertical tanks are fabricated through the Filament Winding Process in accordance with  ASTM D-3299 Norm , employing resins of high  chemical resistance reinforced with glass fibers of unidirectional type plus bi-directional and multidirectional types.

Structures of bottom, walls and cover are calculated considering simultaneous loads of wind and earthquake.

The tanks are designed for installation on surfaces that are flat, stable and with no bumps or irregularities.  Standard accessories are a manhole with cover, bolts and gasket, a fitting for  filling, another for  drainage, a vent, an anchoring ring at the bottom, lugs for manipulation, a see-through band for level  and a nameplate.  Tanks are delivered with calculation documents,  installation  and preventive inspection procedure instructions,  showing the number, size and type of hold-down bolts required.

The table below identifies capacities with the standard dimensions. According to needs, some variations may be requested in dimensions and accessories.

In order to define the right shape, structure and type of resin for a specific condition, it is important to indicate the following parameters:

Product to be stored
Concentration
Specific weight
Operating temperature
Maximum temperature
Seismic characteristics of location
Operational and eventual overloads
