HORIZONTAL CYLINDRICAL TANK FOR TRANSPORT FABRICATED IN FIBERGLASS REINFORCED PLASTIC
The Horizontal Cylindrical Transport Tank is fabricated using the Filament Winding method in accordance with ASTM D-3299 Norm, using resins of high chemical resistance reinforced with unidirectional, bi-directional and multidirectional glass fibers. | The structure, along with the covers, supports and hold-downs, are calculated taking into account loads originated by sudden acceleration and braking on a truck, for a content of a certain weight.
The tank is designed for installation sideways to the longitudinal axis of the truck, on a flat surface with no bumps or irregularities, so that supports may be duly anchored. The following accessories are standard: manhole with cover, gasket and bolts, fittings for filling and drainage, a vent, inserts for anchoring to platform, lugs for handling, a see-through band for watching the level, and a nameplate. The tanks are delivered along with calculation documents and instructions for installation and a preventive inspection, plus the list of required bolts for anchoring to truck bed.
