Several large pieces of equipment were manufactured by FIBRA S.A. for Votorantim Metais to be used at their Indio and Zinc refineries in Cajamarquilla, Peru, in collaboration with Amec engineering.

From 2007 to 2009, FIBRA S.A. has been dedicated to manufacturing the equipment required for the Refineria de Zinc 160 project and the 320 project. FIBRA S.A. has also manufactured all the equipment used at the Indio refinery, constituting a work team among VOTORANTIM METAIS, AMEC and FIBRA S.A., which aims at carrying out the three projects in the least amount of time using high-quality products.


The equipment was manufactured using Dual Laminate technology by applying polypropylene as a chemical barrier and FRP as the structural element. The equipment was designed and structurally analyzed through finite-element analysis due to its geometry and support conditions.


Due to their measurement and shape, the products were manufactured in transportable dimensions and delivered to Peru by sea using Flat Racks.
