A  RAEX-EL-22 water treatment plant, made by Fibra S.A. was installed at Concha y Toro, with a nominal treatment capacity of 22,500 litres per day; this plant is made of FRP and roto-molded components.   The plant receives discharges originating in the mess hall, bathrooms, showers for the workers, plus those from the homes of the vineyard permanent dwellers.  The plant was installed below the water table stratum.  The effluents are treated, disinfected and then pumped to the irrigation system. They comply with the MAXIMUM PERMISSIBLE LIMITS FOR THE LIQUID RESIDUES  DISCHARGED ONTO SURFACE WATERS as per Supreme Decree 90/00.
