The structural profiles that make up the Pulltech gratings are fabricated using a high content of unidirectional fibreglass strands which provide a great mechanical resistance, enveloped in a layer of multidirectional fibreglass plus a surface veil which provide a resin-rich surface called a chemical barrier, on the outer surface. . This way, it is possible to combine a maximum chemical resistance with a maximum mechanical strength, which no other process can provide.
Fibra Ingeniería y Construcción S.A. has a long history of successful applications in industries such as mining, pulp & paper, chemical, water treatment, food, wine and also marine applications, with over 25,000 square meters installed.
The most significant advantages of PULLTECH gratings are: Extraordinary resistance to corrosion Permanent non-skid surface even when wet High mechanical resistance, which allows for greater spans Excellent appearance, contributing to the looks and aesthetics of the location Light in weight and of low installation cost Electrically non-conductive No maintenance required Lower investment to useful life ratio, as compared with steel and aluminium Custom made in dimensions, avoiding losses due to field adjustment cuts.
PULLTECH gratings are fabricated in two models which have shown excellent results in industrial environments for a considerable period of time. Model I 38 ST has a height of 38mm and a separation between resistant bars of 23mm, providing a free view clearance or open area of 60 percent. Table below provides information required for distance between supports, or span, and the maximum deflection under certain load conditions. This is the most frequently used model.
